Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

After many years working as a documentary filmmaker and teacher, I realized that what I enjoyed most about those professions was connecting with and helping people, so I sought a way to make that the core of my work. This has brought me into the field of psychotherapy. I earned a Masters in Social Work from New York University and a Doctorate in Social Work from Rutgers University. After graduating, I spent many years as a child therapist at the Post Graduate Center Child Clinic, followed by three years working in the clinic of the PPSC Psychoanalytic Institute. In my private practice, in addition to my work with individuals and couples, I also run groups. Iā€™m a graduate of the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society and have trained in Group Relations through the A.K. Rice Institute and in Modern Group Analysis through the Center for Group Studies. As well as my private practice groups, I currently run process groups for psychiatry residents at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

I have been on the faculties of Columbia, Princeton, and Rutgers Universities, where I have taught courses on Behavioral Addictions as well as Documentary Film and Social Change.
